FOP Italia ODV will host its 18th annual meeting on Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) on 18–19 April 2026 at the Grand Hotel Palazzo in Livorno, Italy. The event, free of charge and open to patients, families, and healthcare professionals, will feature simultaneous translation throughout Saturday’s sessions.
The international scientific programme includes speakers from leading institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard Medical School, and the University of Oxford.
Among the participants, two ERN BOND members will take the stage: Marelise Eekhoff (VU University Medical Center, Amsterdam) will deliver the latest updates on the EU- funded STOPFOP trial and the International Consortium on FOP, while Nadine Großmann (FOP Germany), ePAG of ERN BOND, will present her research on age-dependent heterotopic ossification formation in FOP — a testament to the growing role of patient advocates in shaping scientific dialogue.
